About

A novel with no author but you

Inkvote is a place for interactive novels that no single writer controls. An AI drafts every chapter, but readers decide where the story goes: at the end of each chapter, a short ballot of possible next moves opens for voting. When the vote closes, the winning choice becomes the seed for the next chapter — written fresh, in the same voice, carrying forward everything that came before.

No single reader — and no single writer — is in charge of these stories. They belong to whoever shows up to vote.

How it works

1

Read the current chapter

Every book opens on its latest chapter, free to read.

2

Cast your vote

Each chapter ends on one open decision point with a handful of choices. Pick the one you want to see happen.

3

Come back for the next chapter

When the vote closes, the winning choice shapes the next chapter — and the ballot opens again.

A few honest notes

Every chapter is written by an AI model, not a human author. It's given the full story so far and the winning choice, and asked to continue in the same voice — but it's a machine doing the writing, and we think that's worth being upfront about rather than pretending otherwise.

Voting is one per reader per chapter, tracked anonymously in your browser — no account needed. If a vote ends in a tie, whichever choice was listed first wins. If nobody votes at all, the story still moves forward the same way.
